VidHub - Video Player ("VidHub", "the App") is published by Mobile Alchemy Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App handles, where it goes and the choices you have. In short: VidHub has no account system, shows no ads and contains no analytics or advertising trackers. Your media, history and passwords stay on your device.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, browsing history or the videos you watch. The App does not request the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Deleting the App removes this data from your device.
If you turn on iCloud Sync, VidHub stores your watch history, favorites, playlists and server connection details (without passwords) in your private iCloud account using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so they appear on your other devices. We cannot access your iCloud data. You can turn sync off in the App or in your iCloud settings.
VidHub connects directly from your device to the servers and services you add: NAS and computers on your network (SMB, WebDAV), Jellyfin, Emby and Plex servers, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive, and web links you paste. Those requests go straight to that server or service, not through us, and that provider's own privacy policy applies. Media servers usually record the client name ("VidHub") and your device name in their activity logs.
Wi-Fi Transfer runs a small web server on your device, reachable only on your local network, and only while you have it switched on.
When you ask VidHub to generate subtitles, it passes the video's audio to Apple's Speech framework. Depending on your device and language, Apple may process the audio on the device or on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. Translation uses Apple's Translation framework. We do not receive the audio, the transcript or the translation.
App Lock uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. The App only learns whether authentication succeeded; it never receives your biometric data.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple; we never see your payment details. To check whether VidHub Pro is active, the App uses the subscription service Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.), which receives your App Store transaction information together with a random profile identifier, basic device information (model, OS and app version, locale, the vendor identifier) and your IP address. This data is used only to validate purchases and manage subscription status. See Adapty's privacy policy.
The Apple Watch companion shows what is playing and sends playback controls. This information travels only between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch.
VidHub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
